I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a practice near University Village in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle. I graduated from the University of Washington, School of Social Work with a master of social work degree in 2000, and from the UW School of Public Health with a master degree in public health (maternal and child health) in 2001.
I have over ten years of counseling experience and have worked in the field of women's health for fifteen years, including four years in Indonesia. My formal therapy training includes a certificate in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice, Problem Solving Therapy - Primary Care (PST-PC), Gottman Educator training with the Bringing Baby Home Program, and training in the Relational Life Approach to Couples' Therapy.
I have conducted research about the screening and treatment of depression in the Obstetrics-Gynecology clinic setting (see article). I am also a clinician on a University of Washington NIH- funded study to evaluate the effectiveness of a collaborative care model to treat women with depression in the Obstetrics-Gynecology clinic setting.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Seattle Counselors Association.
